Are certain hangars in more demand than other hangars. It is important to understand both the demand for existing hangars and how the number of requests could drive future airport development.

Is there seasonality to hangar requests at your airport ? Knowing what months requests are made could indicate seasonality or migratory pilots moving from sod to hard surface throughout the year.

VaporStall recommends asking all hangar requests what they think is the appropriate maximum rent for a hangar at the airport. This can assist you in making a business decision on possible expansion.

Knowing the type and size of aircraft pilots are flying allows an airport operator to better understand and forecast hangar and/or taxiway demand. It also ensures that hangar requests go to pilots who are better able to utilize the hangar space for their aircraft.

Significant number of requests over a sustained period of time may be indicative of a shortage of supply in hangar capacity or average rental rates are below market price - or both.

In the table above, although a name will show up in multiple columns, they represent a request where the pilot asked for any hangar and as such shows up multiple times. Once a pilot has been allocated to a hangar and removed from the list, their name will disappear from any and all columns until their next request. Each request is for one hangar, multiple hangars require multiple requests.
